About May 1st, I replanted the roots of cut green onions as an experiment. I also replanted other vegetables (carrots, onion for sure). The only plant that did well were the green onions, reproducing greens again in about seven weeks. They were in a relatively shady location. Harvested on June 21st, replanted in herb bed with additional green onion roots on June 21. Next time, cut the greens leaving the roots in place in the ground to regrow.
